A Log Cabin + Marmaduke

For Jason's birthday, we planned a weekend in a log cabin called Marmaduke. It was about five hours Northeast of Phoenix. On the drive we listened to Vampire Weekend, sipped our Starbucks, and talked about all the adventures we want to have in the near future. It was absolutely beautiful. By day we played with Joker out in the field behind the cabin, and sat by the fire watching The Hobbit at night. It was lovely leaving the doors open while feeling the fresh, cool breeze, and playing Pinocle over cups earl grey. It's safe to say that we are definitely coming back to Marmaduke, that truly felt like a home away from home.

♥ Have you ever stayed in a cabin? What was your experience?

  1. That looks like a lot of fun, I've always wanted to stay in a cabin with all my friends. I've done it once in the mountains and it was fun. It looks so beautiful and your dog is so adorable. And i love the little raccoon statue, its so cute. Its cuter then the real thing, because I remember when I stayed at a cabin the raccoon try to attack us. hehe

  2. That sounds so lovely! I've always wanted to stay in a log cabin hidden away in some magical place. And I know the feeling of being able to leave doors open for the breeze to fill the room. It is such a safe and relaxing feeling.

  5. I've never stayed in a cabin before but it looks so relaxing! We are always looking for short little getaways that we can do over a weekend. A cabin would be a great idea for that.
