Thankful

It's so easy for the busy mind to go through life day-to-day and forget all the truly amazing things that you already have. Being pregnant with a toddler, I am exhausted all. the. time. It's as if I am just going through the motions of the day and getting by until Jason comes home from work so I can rest a bit. Today was different. I woke up and really tried to feel, smell, taste everything and experience it all. Phoenix and I took a nice, long walk on the Iron Horse Trail this morning. We stopped to look at the leaves falling, I took long, deep breaths to appreciate the crisp, autumn air, and when we came home I enjoyed my first bit of caffeine in a while. I didn't rush through anything and the day has been much more peaceful. With that being said, I am thankful for today, but there is something I am far more grateful for: Jason. Without him, I wouldn't be able to experience life with Phoenix as I do. I get to raise our little guy because of all the amazingly hard work he does. I get to help Phoenix learn and grow every single day, and for that I am so, so thankful.
