This picture was taken from the car while driving around Downtown Los Angeles. It was so sweet to see what turned out to be "I love you Albert" in the sky.

Jason and I will be in the Los Angeles area for the next three weeks! Jason has work down in Southern California, so we are making the most out of visiting one of our favorite cities. This weekend we spent time with my brother watching Inside Out, and playing Texas Hold 'Em with pennies. We ate at Umami Burger in the Downtown LA Arts District, and it was hands down the best food I've ever had. It is great to be able to experience new places while also spending some quality time with family. 

Watching: we have been watching World's Funniest Fails. Honestly, we laughed all night long.

Reading: I'm using this time to branch out of my normal painting routine to try different artistic ventures. We picked up a book called "Learn to Draw Calligraphy Animals" by Andrew Fox. Today I finished the entire book!

Loving: Tru Melange Vanilla + Peppermint candle. It is one of my all-time favorite candles. You can usually find them at Sprouts.

Wanting: I'm in love with this organic maple wood croissant baby teething toy! 

Thinking about: how tomorrow is our fourth wedding anniversary! Oh, how time flies. We have gone through so many new experiences over these last four years, and man have we seen a lot of wonderful places. I'm so glad that we both have the same love of traveling.

Excited to: our big celebration will be this weekend, but tomorrow night we are going to watch Aladdin, play Candy Land, light a fire, and make something yummy for dinner together. The first game we ever played was Candy Land, so it is pretty special to us.

Working on: planning our trip our to see our families for Christmas. It is a lot to plan with buying plane tickets, long term parking for Black Betty (our Prius), and finding a dog sitter for Joker over the holidays.

Tasting: I'm still thinking about that Babycakes cupcake that Jason and I split last night while watching the newest episode of The Walking Dead. It was called the Cookie Monster, how cute is that?

Listening to: for the past few days I have been listening to an old favorite: Morning View by Incubus. 

Playing with: I have been cutting out some paper snowflakes just to see how intricate I can get them. I know it sounds silly to be thinking about Christmas decorations already, but they are fun to make regardless of the time of year.
