Q&A

I was tagged by Sara of Sincerely, Sara to do this blogger Q&A. This is a chance for you all to get to know me a little better, and I would love to hear all of your answers. I tag everyone!

No. 1 If you could live any place in the world, where would it be?
In the United States, I would love to move to New York City or San Francisco. Outside of the United States, I dream of living in London or Paris. Jason and I went to London and Paris on our honeymoon and fell in love with both cities.

No. 2 What do you miss most about being a kid?
I miss playing outside all day, and not overthinking my decisions. I want to live like a kid: in the moment and with no regrets.

No. 3 Who or what inspires you?
I get inspired by paintings, music, landscape, people, and kindness. I am very observant, and watching people hug, cry, hold holds can have a profound effect on how you see the world.

No. 4 Where do you see yourself 10 years from now?
I see photographs from many travels with Jason on our wall. I envision having two or three children, and living in a big city.

No. 5 Your 50th birthday party- who's invited?
Family, friends, and my children. I have always believed in having a few close friends rather than a lot of acquaintances. I would prefer an intimate gathering where we share stories while making new memories.

No. 6 What are your strengths?
I care deeply about the people in my life, the project I'm working on, and how I represent myself. I am creative, insightful, and have always been told that I have an "old soul".

No. 7 What are things you want to improve on?
I want to see something positive in every negative situation.

No. 8 Places you've traveled to?
In the United States: Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Delaware, Florida, Louisiana, Maryland, Nevada, New Mexico, New York, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Washington, and Washington D.C.

Outside of the United States: Belgium, England, France, Luxembourg, and Mexico.

No. 9 What is a routine you could never do without?
Washing my face, brushing my teeth, and my morning latte.

No. 10 What was an act of kindness shown towards you that caught you by surprise?
I received a Starbucks gift card from my friend Sara for my birthday. I was not expecting it, which made it so much more special. She is the sweetest girl ever!

No. 11 List some of the best times in your life in less than one minute. ready...go!
Every summer spent at our family condo in Ocean City, Maryland, weekends spent in Los Angeles visiting my brother, when Jason and I first met and played Rock Band every night until wee hours of the morning, and every second of our honeymoon.

Now it's your turn!

  1. I loved reading this! I like that kindness inspires you! Once I read it, I realized that I'm the same. As a writer, I thrive on small, seemingly meaningless interactions between people because I always felt like those were the ones that really made up a novel. Seeing them in real life always makes me want to sit down and write.

I'm so glad you like your gift card! Yay!

  2. I would love to visit Paris and London as well. There is something so effortlessly romantic and almost magical about them that really captivate me.
