White Sands National Monument

There is something poetic about moving on New Years Eve. After a half a day on the road we arrived in Las Cruces, New Mexico for our first stop. We celebrated the evening watching CNN's Kathy Griffin and Anderson Cooper countdown to midnight special. I bought a $2 tiara and Jason wore his lighted party hat. I've never spent NYE on the road, but we definitely made a memory. We woke up and spent the first day of the year in White Sands National Monument about a half hour away from Las Cruces, New Mexico. We ran, cartwheeled, jumped, and laughed a lot. This was probably my favorite moment during the whole 1,500 miles adventure to Louisiana.

♥ Have you ever been to White Sands? How did you spend your New Years Eve?
