Georges Seurat A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte
Oil on canvas. 1884-1886.
Vincent van Gogh The Starry Night
Oil on canvas. 1889.
Edvard Munch The Scream
Tempera and casein on cardboard. 1893.
Jackson Pollock Autumn Rhythm (Number 30)
Oil on canvas. 1950.
These are the four paintings I chose to analyze for the current essay I'm working on in my art history class. Going back to school to learn about something I'm passionate about is one of the best decisions I've ever made. I go through phases of who my favorite artist is, but currently Seurat has stolen my heart.
♥ What are you passionate about? Are you an art lover?
I'm passionate about education and equality. I love art of all different mediums! Starry Night is probably my favorite painting that I have ever seen up close. I could stare at it for hours.

I love that you're passionate about education and equality! That speaks volumes about your character :)
DeleteI love all of these! I've seen Starry Night several times since it's part of the MoMA's permanent collection. It's smaller than you think it will be, but still beautiful! And I think August Rhythm is there too. Now I want to go back to the museum!

I am so jealous! I haven't seen any of these pieces in person. Next time I'm in New York I am going to MoMA. Going to a museum is such a fun way to spend the afternoon :)
