1//Funny St. Patrick's Day hat!
2//Silly glasses. I remember the first time I went to Disneyland on a band trip with my middle school I bought big pink glasses. I saw these at Joann's and I had to get them.

This recipe was found on That's Fit. Each piece is less than 200 calories. Jason and I enjoyed making this pie together, and it was interesting using a new ingredient: jicama. You can try this recipe if you want, but it didn't turn out the way we expected. I think the instructions called for too much nutmeg and cinnamon. We are going to try again, and tweak the recipe to our liking. I'll keep you posted!
♥ What did you do this St. Patrick's Day?

You should try it :) My next healthy recipe I'm going to try is vegan banana bread.
DeleteThanks for sharing this pie. I've been meaning to make pie, but I'm afraid I'll eat it all. :) Looks like a great St. Paddy's day!
ReplyDeleteIt was a great day! I hope yours was fun too :)
DeleteThat pie looks delicious! I went apple picking during the fall and ended up making four apple pies in two weeks. I attempted to make them healthier by cutting some of the butter and sugar, but I like the idea of using the whole wheat flour. I always, always, always use less than the recommended amount of nutmeg. I don't mind the cinnamon, but nutmeg is such a strong taste. I only ever add a pinch. ;)

That's a great idea: a pinch of nutmeg! It was way too strong for our liking. Apple picking?! That sounds delightful :)
DeleteGreat looking pie.....I bet it was delicious (I really like nutmeg and you can just cover me in cinnamon...)!
