Self Portrait + 100

This is my 100th post! I fell in love with blogging in May of this year. Lately I've been discussing the idea of success with my friends and family. Jason had a very simple, and insightful thing to say regarding this topic. He explained to me that every individual has their own idea of success. We can create our own definition for that inspirational, yet frightening word. It's exciting to think that you are in control of defining the rubric of life. I'm still trying to discover the central theme for my little corner of the internet, but for the time being I'm living out my definition. Success is loving what you do, and being true to yourself.

My goal for this weekend is to create a self portrait of myself using my brand spankin' new camera! I tend to get nervous in front of the camera. Whether it is noticeable or not, I feel like I'm always in an awkward stance with an even more awkward facial expression. While sifting through blogs to gather ideas I stumbled a very helped post found here on A Beautiful Mess.

♥ Do you have a process while taking a self portrait?

And i really don't like taking self portraits either. I still feel super awkward in front of the camera and make my boyfriend take my outfit post photos lol

    1. I think it will just be something to get used to. Or at least that's what I'm hoping ;)

  2. I love what he said about success! I defintely agree that everyone's version of success is different -- some people want to have a family, some people want to explore outer space, some people want to change the world, etc. I still feel awkward in front of the camera, but I've gotten a lot more comfortable because I take pictures pretty often. I recommend tryin to take outfit photos at lease once a week to get used to it! Good luck!
