Painted Grey + Thoughts of Chevron
Last weekend ACE Hardware was doing a promotion where they would give you a free quart of paint in the brand Clark + Kensington. I thought it was amazing that they could match any color you wanted {they even gave us a free painter's key, which makes it easier to open than using a screw driver}. I brought in a paint chip that we picked out from Home Depot. It was called "Granite Grey". It's a really calming color, and I switched our lamps around because this one looks better against a darker color.
The next project I want to do for this area is to make our own curtains. I found the exact pattern I wanted, and the fabric is quite inexpensive. It's going to be black + white chevron pattern. I can't wait to get started on this. I've never done anything like this before, so it will be interesting :)
Has anyone ever bought fabric online, or made curtains?

Love the walls!
ReplyDeleteI have bought small bits of fabric online, but never a large amount and I have definitely made curtains. It's a simple and easy task! You'll do great, I'm sure!
Where have you bought fabric? I found that Fabric.com was the least expensive. I'm glad to hear that it's on the easy side :)
DeleteLove the color! It works so well in your living room. I've been wanting to make some curtains, don't know how to but I was given a sewing machine for one of our wedding gifts. I was just thinking about browsing the thrift stores for some fabric or just stopping by JoAnne Fabrics :-)
ReplyDeleteOh thank you :) So we are both newbies to curtain making. Let me know if you do it! I went to Joann's to check out their selection, and they didn't have any chevron material {zig zag}.
DeleteSAS fabrics, you purchase by the pound...and there's another place that's got great prices, Brenda knows the name...
ReplyDeleteI'll check that out :) The place I found has some pretty good prices too, so I'll compare.
