1. Try a new, preferably local, coffee shop or restaurant once a week.
2. Save up enough money to put a down payment on a house.
3. Move to California, or somewhere just as dreamy.
4. Find more time for my passions: reading, painting, and meditating.
5. Take an adventure to San Francisco.

Senses + Windsor

Sight. Jason, his mother, and I saw Les Misérables last night, and it was an extremely moving film. I was truly stunned by Anne Hathaway, and Eddie Redmayne was absolutely brilliant. It has inspired me to learn more about the French Revolution.

Scent. A couple months ago my signature scent, Lovestruck by Vera Wang, ran out. I received some money in my Christmas stocking this year, and to my surprise eBay had an amazing deal: I got over three times as much for half the price. I might be sounding a tad braggy, but I'm kind of an online shopper newbie.

Sound. "Kids" by MGMT. I'm really into them right now. Is it weird that their music is fitting with the chilly winter air?

Taste. If you live anywhere near the Downtown Phoenix area: stop what you're doing and go to Windsor located on Central Ave. near Camelback Rd. Not only is the food amazing, but it's locally grown. The atmosphere is amazing with the wood burning stove, stringed lights, and the best music selection I've ever heard outside of my Bon Iver station on Pandora.

Touch. A coffee cup in one hand and Domino magazine in the other: life is good.

♥ What are your favorite senses of the week? Happiest weekend wishes to you lovelies!

Currently + Sean Penn, Domino, Modern Family

Image found here

Loving. We spent our Christmas in Los Angeles with my brother, Michael. It was a lot of fun, as always. All of our favorites places to shop and eat are found there. One highlight: we went to Restoration Hardware and we saw Sean Penn! We played it cool, and he walked around us three times. Needless to say: it was exciting!

Reading.
I just ordered some some books from amazon. I'm most excited to read Domino: The Book of Decorating: A Room-by-Room Guide to Creating a Home That Makes You Happy. I've wanted to get it for like six months, so I hope it's worth the wait.

Watching.
Modern Family! I'm completely obsessed! When we were out in LA, my brother got us into it. Best Buy had an amazing sale, and we bought the first two seasons on blu-ray for $16!

Thinking about.
Moving, and buying our first house. There are so many decisions we are being faced with. We want to be smart about all of this, and it's hard to choose whether we should stay in Arizona and save up money to buy our first house, or move and have it take a little longer to buy a home. Decisions, decisions...

Anticipating. Shopping this weekend! I'm going to use some of my Christmas money to buy some Hunter boots, and possibly some sunglasses. I've seen some good deals at Nordstrom Rack.

Listening to.
Death Cab for Cutie's Photo Album. I can't stop listening to this album. It means so much to me.

Wishing.
I hope that next semester goes as well as this one. I got straight A's, and I'm pretty proud of that considering I had chickenpox during finals week.

Making me happy.
I went with my sister, Michelle, to get her sonogram and we found out that she is having a little baby girl! Leona Sky will greet us on May 22, and I can't wait to meet her!

Thank you to Danielle at Sometimes Sweet for the idea for this post. What are you currently into? ♥

Merry Christmas + Lovely Gifts

I'm so grateful for all the beautiful gifts we received from our family.

This is the most we've ever decorated for a holiday: it was so worth it!

My brother, Michael, got me the best smelling candle!

My mother-in-law got me a Singer sewing machine! I'm so excited to create something.

Michael gave Jason a remote controlled helicopter for Christmas. Needless to say: he loves it.

Hooray for a smooth landing!

♥ I hope that you all had a very, merry Christmas! Did you get anything special?

Graduation + Balloon's Falling

I've never been more proud of anyone in my entire life!

Jason graduated from Arizona State University's Ira A. School of Engineering with a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Jason is being recognized for graduating cum laude!

He is also being recognized for working while being in school.

Where's Waldo?

This was so fun! We took one maroon, and one gold balloon home.

Jason with his mom, Chris.

This was my first outing post chickenpox. I'm still getting over all that mess, but I wouldn't have missed this for the world!

I love you!

The Dean of Engineering was being goofy.

He's just about the walk across stage!

Hello, I Love You + Chickenpox

Hello, fellow bloggers! I've missed you all so much. Indeed, it's true, at 24 I got chickenpox. I never had it when I was little, and it's been two weeks and it's not over yet. For the most part I look less like a zombie, and more like a human being again. I've felt so loved by my family and friends. My sister sent me beautiful flowers, everyone has called, texted, or left notes for me, and Jason has done absolutely anything and everything to make me smile. I can't wait to get out in the real world. Luckily there is one activity that occurs indoors that is beyond fun, and only happens once a year: decorating for Christmas. Jason picked out the perfect tree and it was such a mood lifter to hang all the ornaments. We made an whimsical bow to put on top, and it's not only bright, but oh so cheerful.

♥ What is your favorite part of decorating for Christmas?

P.S. I decided to give Tumblr a go.
