Polka Dots + Toothpicks

I was messing around and I thought my nails turned out kinda cute :]

White: Ulta in Snow White
Blue: Butter in Henley Regatta
Pink: Essie in Bachelorette Bash

I used Diamond Elegance Toothpicks because one side is bigger than the other, so I could make the polka dots in two different sizes. It was fun, and it felt like play time.

16 Silly Factoids + Secret Songs

{April 2012}

1. What's a nickname only your family calls you? My dad calls me Sally Sue, and he had the intention of actually naming me that. My mom wouldn't let him, thankfully. But it's cute that he still calls me that to this day.

2. What's a weird habit of yours? I make up silly, and completely random songs about anything and everything.

3. Do you have any weird phobias? I'm freaked out by crickets {exception: Jiminy Cricket}.

4. What's a song you secretly love to blast and belt out when you're alone? "Like A Boss" by The Lonely Island. That song is hilarious!

5. What's one of your biggest pet peeves? When people put their dogs in the back of a pick-up truck.

6. What's one of your nervous habits? Crackin' my knuckles.

7. What side of the bed do you sleep on? It depends on how you look at it. If I'm laying in bed I'm on the left.

8. What was your first stuffed animal and it's name? Bones, he's a stuffed dog. I still have him, and break him out when I'm sick.

9. What's the drink you always order at Starbucks? Iced vanilla soy latte. I'm pretty much obsessed.

10. What's a beauty rule you preach, but never actually practice? The only "rule" I have is to use all-natural paraben free products, but I do that.

11. Which way do you face in the shower? East :)

12. Do you have any weird body skills? I can make a four-leafed clover with my tongue.

13. What's your favorite comfort food that's "bad", but you love to eat it anyways? I can't turn down chocolate covered strawberries. But I only really have them like once or twice a year.

14. What's a phrase or exclamation you always say? "Redic" or "For serious"

15. Time to sleep, what are you actually wearing? Pink polka dotted pajamas & a Rolling Stones t-shirt.

16. What did you use to wear that you thought was cool but now you realize it wasn't? I used to wear my Birkenstocks everywhere, but now only every once in a blue moon.

That's all folks. TAG you're it! If you do this, post the link in the comments I want to read :)

Random Topic Tuesday + Banjo Lovin'

1. {Cannon Rebel EOS Rebel t3i} is my dream camera. I love taking photos of every moment. I know that one day I will get this camera, but for now it's just a dream.

2. We are planning a trip to {New York City} in early August. We haven't made any definite plans, but I was trying to figure out all the free things we could do out there to save a few pennies.

3. The next thing I'm going to plant in our little garden are {sunflowers}. I'm excited to see this bright color everyday.

4. I've been into listening to songs that incorporate the {banjo}. I just like the sound. Jason think the lead singer has a pirate voice.

5. These are two {nail art} ideas that I want to attempt. They are too cute :]

6. Jason and I talk about {moving} almost every single day. I think it will be the biggest adventure of all. He graduates in December of this year, and at the end of August he is going to start applying to jobs. We are ready for a big change, so he is going to start looking for jobs in London. It would be a dream come true to spend a couple years in another country. I'm really ready for anything, and I know Jason feels the same way. There is so much ahead of us, and I feel like it's going to be here before we know it!

Kinder Crossing + Doggy Paddling

It's Memorial Day and luckily everybody was off work, so my mom found a fun hike about 50 miles north of Payson, Arizona. It was called {Kinder Crossing Trail}. It was a lot of fun, and the dogs had a great time swimming in the lake. It really wouldn't be the same without {Belle} my parent's white chihuahua mix, and {Joker} our black & white Australian Shepherd. We all stuck our feet in, and took in the amazing scenery that was well worth the trek down. The day was full of laughs, beauty, and lots of doggy paddling.

Kayaking + A Bald Eagle

Kissin' on the kayak.

The real nerdy birdie.

"I'm on a boat..."

That's a bald eagle.

Chillin' like a villain.

The lizard king. He had a blue belly.

Doesn't this look like a piggy?

At peace.

We took a trip to {Woods Canyon Lake}, a little ways passed Payson, Arizona. It was ridiculously busy because it's Memorial Day Weekend. We borrowed my parents kayak, and took it out on the lake for a couple of hours. I love nature and all the fun adventures you can have, and I truly live for days like this. After all the oar-ing around we took a little hike around the rim. It was a really great day. I'm so thankful that my dad let us borrow his CRV, because I don't know if Black Betty (our Prius) would have liked a huge kayak strapped to her.

{"I'm On A Boat"} by The Lonely Island. How could we not think of this song? :)

Senses Saturday + Popsicles

{Sight} Our wedding coffee table book. I'll be looking at this forever.

Jason in his black bow tie reminds me of the wedding.

{Scent} This Anthropologie candle is one of my favorite smells,
with all good memories attached.

{Sound} Mumford and Sons "Little Lion Man" is on my mind constantly as of late.

{Taste} Summer Nights + Popsicles = Happy Naomi :)

{Touch} My keyboard, and all the funny sounds I make with it.

{Sight} In our wedding package we received a coffee table book. I picked out 100 of our favorite photos and our photographer, the amazing Amy Pileggi of Iris Creative Photography, complied them into a unique collection of my all-time happiest memory. I also put up a photo I took of Jason today after work.

{Scent} Anthropologie candles are the best. The scent is called Volcano and the brand is Capri Blue. It reminds me of my brother's apartment in Korea Town (Los Angeles, CA). Every time I smell it I think of him and it makes me so happy.

{Sound} Mumford and Sons "Little Lion Man" has been on repeat ALL DAY {for the past 2 days}. I find a song and get kind of obsessed with it. Some people might think it's weird, but there are some songs out there that I can listen to over and over, and they never seem to dull.

{Taste} Summers and popsicles are kind of synonymous to me. These are amazing! I got them at Whole Foods, and they have chunks of real strawberries in 'em. I usually eat one on our nightly walks with Joker. Yummy :)

{Touch} Jason got me this keyboard for my birthday last year. I write little songs on it. I have always loved the way keys on a piano {or keyboard} feel. It's always inspiring.

Echo + Chess

Echo Coffee. Great iced coffee + amazing music + board games = one lovely Friday afternoon.

Those eyes, that face, his silliness...
I fall in love with him everyday.

My EOS lip balm was a pawn :)

I made a swan/snake/turtle thing out of our straw wrappers.
It was staring down his King.

My favorite drink in the whole world is an iced vanilla soy latte. Today I decided to try somethin' a little different. Instead of soy I tried it with almond milk and it was freakin' amazing! These are my favorite kinds of afternoons. I love drinking coffee, listening to good music, playing board games, and being goofy at all times.
